Workshops
Autumn Equinox Nature Meditation & Sound Bath with Laura & Finlay Hinde
The Apple House, Sergehill Lane, Bedmond, Hertfordshire WD5 0RZ
Tuesday 22 September 2026, 6pm-8pm

Join us on the eve of the Autumn Equinox for a gentle evening of reflection, gratitude and deep relaxation, held in the beautiful surroundings of the award-winning Apple House eco-barn and biodiverse Plant Library, home to over 2,500 varieties of perennials and bulbs.

The Autumn Equinox marks a gentle turning point in the year, when day and night come into balance before the winter months draw in. It offers an opportunity to pause, appreciate what has ripened over the summer, notice what the changing season is showing us, and settle a little more deeply into the natural flow of life.

More about the workshop

After a welcome refreshment, we'll begin with a guided nature meditation in the gardens. Drawing inspiration from the landscape around us and the timeless wisdom of the four directions, we'll slow down, awaken our senses and take time simply to notice. Together we'll honour the gifts of the season before making our way to the warmth of the Apple House as dusk settles.

The experience continues with an immersive sound bath led by Laura and Finlay. The rich, resonant tones of the Symphonic Gong, together with singing bowls and other carefully chosen instruments, create a spacious soundscape that invites the body to soften, the mind to quieten and the whole being to rest.

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere and create a more personal experience, places are limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

What to bring

We'll provide a yoga mat for everyone, but for the most comfortable experience we recommend bringing your own camping or yoga mat to place underneath, along with a blanket and a small pillow if you like one.

Please also bring:

  • Warm layers and cosy socks, as the body often cools during relaxation.
  • Comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing for the outdoor nature meditation.
